Next week is my youngest daughter's birthday and COVID or not, we will safely celebrate the momentous occurrence of her birth with gusto (read here:- red wine, a special meal, and pressies).
In this fast paced world we live in, where the current year rides rough-shod over the previous ones, it would be easy to just let celebrations slide, particularly as we (in Vic) are still virtually confined to our homes. We could just go on moaning about being martyrs and forget all of those little magical moments that have occurred for both Karyn and I during the year, in fact during all of the years in our lives. It's a chance to acknowledge who we are for each other.
After all, love is no big thing: it's a million little things!
So celebrate we will, regardless of our current restricted lifestyles and we will look ahead to a repeat performance at Christmas time and all of the birthdays that follow.
